Marc W. Harrold, BS Pharm, PhD
Marc W. Harrold is a Full Professor at Duquesne University's School of Pharmacy in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and has taught both medicinal chemistry and biochemistry courses for over 30 years. He has twice been awarded the Duquesne University President's Award for Excellence in Teaching. Dr. Harrold has introduced a variety of innovations into his courses, including a series of 34 interactive web-based tutorials for students, many of which have been published in the American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education (AJPE), presented at American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy annual meetings, and have been used and/or adopted by other medicinal chemistry faculty across the country. He has also been involved in curriculum development at Duquesne University and on the school’s curriculum committee.
Dr. Harrold has published over 10 articles and over 20 book chapters (either alone or as a co-author) in the area of medicinal chemistry education. Additionally, he has contributed to a medicinal chemistry case study workbook and has been a contributor to Nurse’s Drug Guide and served as a member of the Editorial Advisory Board for AJPE. Dr. Harrold has received numerous teaching awards from the students within the School of Pharmacy and two National Advisor of the Year Awards from APhA Academy of Students of Pharmacy and Rho Chi.
Robin M. Zavod, PhD, FAPhA
Robin M. Zavod is Professor for Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Midwestern University College of Pharmacy, Downers Grove, Illinois. She currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of the journal Currents in Pharmacy Teaching and Learning.
Dr. Zavod was awarded the 2012 Outstanding Faculty of the Year Award. She served on the adjunct faculty for Elmhurst College and the Illinois Institute of Technology.
